Frequently Asked Questions

What yoga styles are taught on retreat?

We offer two yoga classes a day on our yoga retreats: a morning Vinyasa flow class which is quite active and invigorating, and a heavenly restorative Yin yoga class in the afternoon/evening with a longer relaxation. Both classes are suitable for all levels.

Are beginners welcome?

Yes, even if you have never done yoga before we have all yoga levels from beginners to advanced, and we will modify the classes so you can practice at your own pace.

How many other people will be on this retreat?

Every retreat is different depending on the accommodation but for this retreat we have capped it to only 9 people.

Is food provided?

All food except for Saturday dinner and lunch on Sunday will be provided. We have purposely not included dinner on the Saturday night to allow you to explore the food culture of Katoomba.


Enjoy a welcome drink and charcuterie board, catered dinner Friday night, two delicious and nourishing breakfasts, a packed lunch for Saturday's outings as well as additional snacks and drinks. 

What isn't included in the price?

You will need to find your own way to the accommodation in the Blue Mountains. All food will be provided except for Saturday dinner and lunch on Sunday. Please feel free to bring any particular drinks and snacks that your heart desires. (Some drinks will be provided across the weekend including milk, juice and water.)

Are yoga mats provided?

If you have one, please bring your own yoga mat and feel free to bring anything else you may need for your yoga practice, such as a block and a strap. I do have several additional yoga mats, blocks and bolsters which can be provided, please let me know prior to the retreat.

What is the daily itinerary?

The itinerary will be sent out closer to the event. Generally, we will plan on a morning yoga and meditation session on Saturday, guided hikes throughout the day and time to explore on Saturday afternoon and evening. Sunday morning will consist of a yoga session, short morning hike and a visit to the Blue Mountains Spa before departure. 

When should I arrive, and when should I plan to leave?

Ideally you will be able to arrive to the accommodation at 3pm on Friday 20 Oct 23. If you can't arrive at this time that is no worries at all. Any time on the Friday evening is fine. Please let me know if you will be later then dinner which is planned at 6pm so I can put some aside for you.

Can I arrive early or stay later after the yoga retreat ends?

We have the accommodation reserved from from 3pm Friday to 12pm on Sunday so you are free to use this during this time. Unfortunately we are unable to extend these times but there is so much to see and explore in the Blue Mountains before or after the retreat. We can provide you with some great recommendations.

How much is the deposit and when is the balance due?

A $200 deposit is requested at time of booking to hold your place, with the balance due on the 6 Oct 23.

Is coffee served at the retreat?

YES! I will have my speciality Italian coffee machine to make fresh coffee each morning with local beans from Cassiopeia Coffee in Katoomba. Their beans are divine!

What happen if the retreat gets cancelled due to extreme weather or any other reason?

You will be refunded 100% of what you had paid and will also be given the early bird access to book the next retreat.

What is the cancellation policy?

If you, or any member of your party, cancel your travel arrangements at any time, written notification from the person who made the booking must be received by us by email at [email protected]. Since we incur costs in cancelling your travel arrangements, the following cancelation charges will be payable by you: if you cancel the yoga retreat 14 days or more prior to your Arrival Date, all payments will be refunded, minus the $200 deposit. If you cancel the yoga retreat between 14 days and your arrival date: 100% of the payments will be forfeited.

What should I bring?

A detailed list will be sent out prior to the event, however here is a brief list to get you started:

Your yoga mat (I will have extras)

Cushion for meditation (I will have extras)

Any other equipment you regularly use (block, strap etc)

Hiking shoes or runners

A journal & pen

A few changes of yoga clothes. You will be practicing some form of yoga both morning and evening.

Clothes for hiking 

Your own towel and toiletries

Bedding is provided - though in winter you may like to bring extra blankets

Insect repellent & sun cream

Wet weather gear if it is forecast - umbrella, gumboots, raincoat
